Assistant Public Defender Ines Suber said she was strongly opposed to the release of pretrial evidence and criticized previous news articles that detailed elements of the case.

“They had the nerve to do their own investigation and were harassing witnesses,” Suber said of reporters. “No one was there to say you don’t have to talk.”

Judge Terry Lewis instructed the prosecution and defense to go through records in the case and highlight information they feel should be kept closed. Both sides will meet again with Lewis in an Oct. 23 hearing to discuss pretrial document closure. Lewis will make the final decision on which records should be released.

Lewis told both sides he wants to set a trial date during the Oct. 23 hearing.

Three pellet guns were found in GMH's van when arrested on 01/04/08. More pellet guns were found hidden in GMH's Fannin County, GA Campsite/Staging Area last month. If firearms were utilized in these hunts, the prey would be disabled or killed, ending the hunt.

Pellet guns, although can be lethal with the proper shot at close range, will usually only cause injury and pain, while inflicting an enormous amount psychological torture to the intended victim or prey. If pellet guns were used instead of firearms, the hunt could be repeated and could last for several days....

The Deadly Run movie is based on a 'Solitaire Serial Killer' stalking many women in the Forest for Sport.

Gary Hilton's explanation for the pellet guns. was that they were only used to repel stray dogs.

The obvious question that comes to mind is: 'Why Six Pellet Guns?

The hunter came across the items last Friday at a concealed campsite, and thought they might be stolen or illegally dumped.

“This is an area that we know he frequented,” Fannin County Sheriff's Sgt. Justin Turner said of Hilton.

Hilton is serving life in prison for the January 2008 murder of Buford hiker Meredith Emerson and is awaiting trial in the decapitation of hiker Cheryl Dunlap, a Tallahassee Sunday school teacher.

Emerson, a 24-year-old UGA grad, was hiking with her dog in the Union County mountains when Hilton kidnapped her. Hilton pleaded guilty and avoided the death penalty in exchange for leading authorities to Emerson's body.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation turned over the items to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, GBI spokesman John Bankhead said.

Hilton also is suspected in the slayings of an elderly North Carolina couple, John and Irene Bryant. They disappeared in October 2007 while hiking in the Pisgah National Forest.

Bankhead said the N.C. Bureau of Investigation has been notified, and that Florida authorities will contact that agency if any items can be tied to the Bryants' killings.

ATLANTA -- There are new revelations today about what investigators found inside confessed killer Gary Hilton’s van. Tuesday, Channel 2 got an exclusive copy of the report for his van.
In January, Hilton admitted to killing Georgia hiker Meredith Emerson.
Whenever Georgia Bureau of Investigation agents get a search warrant they’re required to file a document which lists everything they found inside. It is an extremely detailed document and the GBI told Channel 2’s Jodie Fleischer that some of the items listed are still considered evidence in other pending cases against Gary Hilton.

When agents with the GBI caught Hilton January 4, he was at a DeKalb County gas station. His white van was parked near the vacuum cleaner and officials say, he was trying to destroy evidence. But he didn’t get it all.
"He lives in it, it's his home and everything he owns probably was in that van and so when you think of it that way it was potentially a big evidentiary catch,” said John Cagle with the GBI.
The list is lengthy and detailed. Twenty shirts and a dozen pair of pants, eight jackets, 29 hats and three sleeping bags.

Medical papers in the van confirmed Hilton does have multiple sclerosis. Hypodermic needles and various medications were also found along with pornographic magazines, personal lubricant, condoms and a bong.
"Some was very expensive cold weather gear, something you'd look at him and someone virtually homeless and lives in his van, how would he acquire that kinds of stuff,” Cagle.
Some of it may have belonged to other people, like Emerson, who Hilton admitted kidnapping on New Years Day and then beating to death in the north Georgia woods. Hilton’s weapons included a sling blade, a hack saw and three air pistol BB guns.
"We not only recovered things that were helpful to Florida but some other timeline items that also will be helpful to North Carolina,” said Cagle.
Agents found at least four separate blood stains -- one of the outside of the sliding door of the van, another on a yellow jacket which may have been the one hiker John Bryant was wearing when he and his wife were kidnapped and murdered in North Carolina. Hilton is a suspect in their deaths.

Cagle has been following the case through a live Internet feed from the Leon County courtroom, where Hilton is dressed in a suit and tie.

Cagle said Hilton, who wore an orange inmate jumpsuit when pleading guilty to Emerson’s slaying on Jan. 31, 2008, isn’t fooling anyone with the “get-up.”

“They may have dressed him up a little bit, but you really can’t take away the sociopath in somebody by putting a coat and tie on him,” he said. “He is absolutely the same person that was here.

“You can look at him and see the same person we saw the night we arrested him — just a coward sitting there.”

Cagle said he’s looking forward to Hilton’s conviction in Florida, “so North Carolina authorities can proceed with the case they have against him.”

Hilton is also suspected in the 2007 double slayings of John and Irene Bryant in Pisgah National Forest, though he has not been charged in that case.

Once this one is done in Florida, hopefully I’ll get to go to North Carolina,” Cagle said. “I think once this case is concluded, North Carolina will step in, indict him and move forward with their case.”

The First Serial Killer: Theodore (Ted) Bundy

During his interrogation in February, 1978,Theodore Robert Bundy described himself this way to the north Florida police: "I'm the most cold-hearted son-of-a-bitch you'll ever meet."

This is an accurate description of the man who terrorized the nation from 1974 through 1979. He killed women in four states: Washington, Utah, Colorado and Florida. Although Bundy confessed to 28 murders, the FBI suspects that there might have been over 100 victims. There is also police speculation that he killed an 8 year old girl when he was 14. The girl lived in his neighborhood and suddenly disappeared, never to be found.

Ann Rule
After reading In Cold Blood by Truman Capote, Rule wished that if she could only learn how a killer thinks--to get inside his head and read his thoughts--she could possibly gain some sort of understanding about the crime and the mind-set of the murderer. As a former Seattle Policewoman and case worker for the Washington State Department of Public Assistance, and a student intern at the Oregon State Training School For Girls, Ann Rule had a background of working with and observing many forms of disturbed behavior. She became a crime writer who wanted to write and educate others. Rule got her wish in a bone-chilling way.

Serial Killer: Gary Michael Hilton: The Hiker Murderer - My Life Of Crime

Most residents in Georgia first heard about this evil serial killer in January, 2008 when he murdered a hiker near Vogel Park on the Appalachian Trail.

Hilton cut a plea deal with Georgia law enforcement for a life sentence in return for leading the police to Meredith Emerson's body in the forests of the north Georgia mountains. Her nude and decapitated body revealed that she had been the victim of a brutal, violent crime. It's often difficult to review such crimes, however we can learn a few things from her experience and that of his other victims which may serve us in the future.

Confession of Emerson's Murder
The 61-year-old Hilton has a hatred for people in general and women in particular. He described the murder with no emotion, and a flat voice devoid of any sympathy or feeling for the young woman. He admitted that he targeted Meredith because she was a woman and he wanted money. Once he acquired her ATM card, he grew more and more impatient and beat her when she refused to give him the correct password for her account.

Law enforcement and abduction experts insist that it's vital that the victim fight off the attacker aggressively every step of the way.

He coldly commented that he "never had any intention of letting her go." She fought him off for four days as she tried desperately to survive. Hilton described Meredith's heroic battle in detail. "She...grabbed the knife. I lost control of the knife and then I produced the baton. She fought that and I lost control of the baton--and I'm good too...I had to hand fight her and I still couldn't get control of her. She would, uh, feign or pretend that I was in control and then start fighting again. So I had to hit her a number of times."

Hilton chained the woman to his van and kept her there for three to four days, and commented, "As to what extent she was injured, uh, her two eyes were somewhat blackened. She may or may not have a fractured nose. I checked with her a number of times. She was not in any pain other than a headache. I offered her and gave her aspirin." Then he beat her to death and decapitated her.

More Murders

The details of other murders surfaced soon after the law detained Hilton in Georgia. Some of it appeared to be misinformation attempting to tie together unconnected murders near the Florida-Georgia state line, but Cheryl Hodges Dunlap, a 46-year old Florida State Nurse went missing near Tallahassee, Florida on December 1, 2007. Two days later authorities found her abandoned car with a flat tire. A few days later someone hid his face as he attempted to use her ATM card three times.

The Leon County Florida Sheriff's Office considered Hilton a possible connection to the Dunlap disappearance because he was in the area at that time. On December 14, 2007 her body was found in the Appalachicola National Forest outside Tallahassee. She had been decapitated.

Hilton is also suspected in at least the following murders:

•John and Irene Bryant, who were two elderly hikers who disappeared in the Pisgah National Forest in western North Carolina on October 21, 2007. Irene's body was found 25 yards from the couple's vehicle. An autopsy revealed that John died of a gunshot wound to the head. Since this homicide took place in a national forest and involved a gun used in the crime, federal gun laws could come into play and involve Federal Authorities.

•Rossana Miliani was a 26-year-old woman from Florida who was hiking in western North Carolina when she disappeared on December 7, 2005. A witness said that she came into her store with a white man in his 60's. Rossana appeared nervous when they bought a backpack and clothes for him. He told the clerk that he was a traveling preacher.

•Michael Scot Louis was found north of the Tomoka State Park near Ormond Beach, Florida on December 6, 2007. He had been decapitated and dismembered, with the body parts wrapped in several garbage bags.

Extradition to Florida
On June 6, 2008 Gary Hilton was extradited to Florida to face charges of murder and decapitation of Cheryl Hodges Dunlap from Crawfordville, Florida. Hilton fought the extradition to Florida aggressively but to no avail. Although Georgia made a bargain for a life sentence in return for his confession, Florida is under no obligation of any kind to keep Hilton alive in prison at the taxpayer's expense.

Since 2007, Florida has executed 64 individuals and presently has 397 prisoners awaiting execution on Death Row in Starke, Florida. Those have the option of choosing death by electrocution (electric chair) or lethal injection. Death penalty crimes include the following:

•First degree murder,
•Felony murder,
•Capital drug trafficking, and
•Capital sexual battery.
Once the Hilton trial begins, the Florida prosecutors will most likely make their case against the murderer stick and then pursue the death penalty.

Ted Bundy and the State of Florida

The authorities expressed surprise that Ted Bundy went to Florida after his last escape from the Glenwood Springs, Colorado jail. Florida prosecutes murderers relentlessly with the threat of the death penalty. Bundy studied the law and surely he was aware of that fact. As his crimes became more brutal, perhaps he wanted to get caught and stopped before he degenerated further into his own criminality. At any rate, he certainly fought the charges but after the guilty verdict, Florida denied all his appeals, and executed him in the electric chair in 1989.

The Movie: 'Deadly Run': Hunting Humans...Samuel Rael Friend and Confidant of GMH; Attorney/Producer..

A strange footnote to the already bizarre Gary Michael Hilton case is that this accused serial killer once was involved in developing a plot to a murder movie with similarities to his own crimes. An attorney in Atlanta said that Hilton helped him work out the plot to "Deadly Run" in 1995.

I January 2007, I encountered this monster at Stone Mountain. He was sneaky, and followed me up the mountain on Wolf Rock trail. I didn’t even know I was being followed. He waited till we were up at Wolf rock then commenced to start bugging me about hiking with him. Something told me not to let this creep walk behind me.
No one was up there that day except me and him. He kept asking me if I was from that area, if i was married etc.
I told him that my husband was a big man and was heading up the mountain also. At the time, I was not married but a widow. I think that is what saved my life. Looking back now, I should have went to the park rangers and warned them of this creep. I am fortunate to be alive. It’s scary to know I was that close to that monster. I have since then listened to his interviews about the murder of Meredith, and that creep deserves to die. He has no remorse whatsoever, and if he could get out of prison, he would do it all over again. The way he speaks of his prison stay, you would think he was on vacation. He needs to die. Why waste tax payers money on that scum ? there’s no telling how many people he done that to. and he didn’t just go after women, he went after men.

OCILLA, GA (WALB) –Divers spent much of the day in an Irwin County creek looking for the remains of a school teacher who disappeared five and a half years ago.

Tips in the Tara Grinstead case continue to come in. Investigators say the one that led them to that creek Tuesday is the most substantial they've gotten in a year.

A neighbor who claims to have called in the tip to the sheriff says just a few days after Grinstead disappeared he saw two men acting very suspiciously down by the creek. He says it has been weighing heavy on his heart, so felt it was time to tell someone.

She disappeared after attending the Georgia sweet potato pageant in 2005, but there have been no solid answers as to what really happened to the Irwin County teacher.

Tara's German Shepherd was outside the fence(very unusual), a disturbance was reported by a neighbor between her and an old guy. Alarm clock was on the floor, indicating a scuffle. GMH would have used this ruse to altrer the time of abduction.(cagey/calculating)
Dr Godwin: geographical profiler, hired by Tara's family found a broken tooth and a gold necklace and other items that was missed by Law Enforcement on two previous searches. The laytex glove although discovered near her front steps, wasn't released to the public til years after the abduction. I found laytex gloves in one of GMH's staging areas: a camper with a disneyworld bumper sticker.
Tara's lingerie was found off a gravel road near an abandoned house, which was torched...
Her car had been removed from the driveway and returned with the seat slid back as far as it would go. $200.00 was found on the console in an envelope-rent money..
In GMH's garbage pile in the wildcat tract dawson forest wma, I found a white hairbow. I saw Tara's face when I picked it up. It is displayed on a wall in a video in her house.
I found a gift card from a salon for a makeover in a parking lot where a purse's contents had been dumped in Tate, GA. Tara had an appointment for a makeover on Monday after her dissapearance.
On the prophency forum, a blogger had a dream about a box and quarries. The tuck me in box from the attic of the densmore farmhouse is why I went to the tara grinstead prophency forum. This is the marble capitol of the world. The Tate Mansion was mentioned in the dream..Much More!
Tara had been to a festival/pageant, and went to a barbecue. GMH, lerked at festivals hunting prey. Many of the newspapers in the attic listed all festivals in a three state area.

The customer's husband was sitting in his truck waiting on her. As it was late, night had set in. A white van pulled up and a man fitting GMH's description came in inquiring if that was her last customer and what time was closing. While inside another man stepped out of the passenger side, went around and opened the side door, then got back in the truck.
The customer's husband reacted and went inside, spoiling their plans.
LE was called, responded, and said to keep her door locked and don't let anyone in unless she knew who they were. The same advice was given to the customer.
GMH, had been doing his evil deed for decades, and preyed 24/7...

They were never really so called friends, but my friend does have stories. He say's that Jeremy was disturbed early in life. A stranger aproached me one day, under the guise of being in the North Ga Mountains, for a Wedding. He was unique in the way he carried himself, as he was very evasive yet he wanted to have a conversation. The conversation was one sided; he did all the talking.
He said that he couldn't tell me what his occupation was, but that he had his training at Quantico. He then started rattling off GMH's traits, at what age he acquired them; the why's and wherefores. Although his little seminar was very informative, he didn't give me a chance to respond. He said that GMH's sociopathic tendencies were formed before the age of 3 or 4 years old.
I am convinced that it was before his birth. GMH, fits no previous profile, but a combination of many with a demonic twist....

Note: Jeremy Jones: Serial Killer confessed to abducting and killing Patrice Endres, and dumping her body near Sweetwater Creek. LE searched Sweetwater Creek in Fulton County. Jones a construction worker from the mid west lived in Douglasville, GA under an alias. He may not have been familar with this area, but GMH, was....

Jones, was ruled out due to the remains being found in a location other than the one searched. The Forsyth Co. Sheriff said that he had info that only the person that kidnapped her would know.

Endres, remains were found behind a Church Cemetary near Sweetwater Creek, In Dawson County, which borders the Atlanta Tract of Dawson Forest WMA(Wolfscratch Wilderness), where Levi, and Meredith's remains were located.....

GMH, is not the first, last or only....

I finally have read this entire thread. There is a lot of interesting things here. Thank You for the link. I am always interested to see what others have seen and interperate.

I personally do not get a strong feeling about Gary when it comes to this case but when I learned about him some other cases come to mind I could see the victims like a slideshow. Gary is a very scary person who I think gets off on the kill itself, no real MO. Just likes to kill, he gets a rush off of watching his vics die.

the guy that I have always pictured from Tara is a tallish say around 6 foot tall, dark brown hair slender person. He is a loaner and no one would suspect him. I do not feel that he will kill again either. I tried to tune into his thinking process and emtions and felt like he had fallen for her but she as not into him. I feel like he was living near her, but has moved on now, but not a long distance, I feel like 100 miles or so away. He is a quiet guy and I see tolls in his truck, like plumber tools.

I do hope that she is someday found. I see that her mom has passed on since. I hooe that she is at peace now and that they are together

I try not to read threads like this until I can gather my own feelings of the case. It just makes it easier for me.

The GBI, knew that there were an unusual high number of females missing since 1980. Just didn't know who was capturing them.
Most of my info came within the first 60 days of the journey. I received information from so many sources; some conventional and some nonconventional. Many of the conclusions that I documented in the early days of the journey, although seemed way out there to most reasonable thinking people, were verified by info that was released later. To my knowlege, none were disproved. Although my character was attacked many times, and several attempts were made to impeach my credability. I have had hundreds of emails vanish, and multiple Forums shut down, or either Ban me from their site.
After badgering the news media on their silence, specifically John Walsh, I saw a report on TV by an anchor person, that almost broke down simply reading about Meredith's demise.
I experienced GMH's demonic personality, as well as his physical characteristics, until some of his victims were located in his primary den. I dowsed multiple graves, and had a master dowser verify my findings. I located his ice box in the ground, as well as his garbage pile, which were in buried black garbage bags; clothes etc. He was eyewitnessed in this site by several people over a period of years.
As of 01/10/08, I am confident that I am being led and protected by his many victims.
As you are aware, all info was silenced after 02/08 when the Feds took over the investigation, due to the magnitude, IMO.
Have you researched the 'Deadly Run', movie, that GMH, helped to creatively write, hand picked the cast, crew, film locations, and tutored the lead actor in the art of serial killing? This news didnt break until Feb or March of 2008.

I found and saw things, as well as visioned actions, that LE, and the K9's would miss.

Chrmed14Life, I have learned to function on very little sleep, and have found that I express my thoughts better in the quietness of the night. During the first 60 days of the journey I slept less than three hours per night, which is all that I required. I lost over 20 lbs., had a hightened IQ, photogenic memory, strategic thinking skills, experienced no fear(although I was assaulted a couple of times, and one man had his hand on his knife, because he thought I was GMH, and had escaped the Dawson Co jail) and communicated in riddles(as does GMH) with an RW Emerson: slant. I experienced multiple ironies and I kept a melancholy state of mind, throughout this period.
Looking back on it, I can now understand why my family and friends were leerie of my behavior. Guess, you could say that I was consumed...
I feel that the journey began over 40 years ago, and was outlined by a cassette tape of religious songs, found in Dec 07, as well as other events and life experiences that led up to 01/06/08 to the present and beyond...

She is a reporter for Greene Pubishing, Madison Co., Fl, and wrote an article about GMH, and 2 associates attempting to capture a lady a few years back on a river, while she was sunbathing, with her dog.

She is very knowlegable about Richard Ramirez, and it has affected her very much as you can imagine. Ramirez, was a Satan Worshiper, as was Lucas, Otoole, Son of Sam, & others. She told me this story back in March 08.

While searching the abandoned house where GMH, held Meredith, I located a newspaer in the attic, where GMH, had built a frigid weather hideout, complete with wood burning stove. It was the Nov 8, 1989 edition of the Gainsville, GA Times. An article on the front of sect. A, was tittled:

'NIGHT STALKER'; SAYS HE WILL BE AVENGED BY SATAN....

Ramirez said to the jury that handed down the Death Penalty, ""You don't understand me," "You are not expected too... I am beyond your experience. I am beyond good and evil.. I will be avenged, LUCIFER, dwells within us all....

When I contacted Tyrra, to ask if that is the SK, that she had told me about months earlier, a very long pause, then she said, yes...

He went straight to some large steel tanks that had been cut in half, then on a few feet to two iron bars that were leaning up against a tree. One of the bars has a bend in it.
Around April 08, a very sensitive person from Appalachicola, Fla, accompanied me on a portion of the journey. When she went within a few feet of the ridge, she became overcome with emotion. I asked her what was wrong, and she said, "Something very evil happened on this spot!"
I am confident that Buddy, and Shelby: a stray coon dog, investigated the presence of GMH, due to Dandy, Ella, and Meredith, but were kept at bay by the use of his bb pistol.

They had set up a white screen for privacy, but I could see Tara laying on the table. As I looked back a second time, she was sitting up. A Medical Examiner was sitting her up to take off her shirt but it appeared at first glance that Tara was helping him. This has always bothered me. I don't know why I would think she was capable of sitting up. I don't know what it means.

The barn you see could be the one I see, if the grounds around it were neater. This estate was perfectly manicured. Tara was found on this property just inside a large culvert. She was wrapped in a black blanket or black garbage bag and then strapped to a wooden pallet of some kind.

On a different thought, I have been learning about earthbound spirits lately. I have worked on a few dozen missing persons cases and I have always seen the missing person who has passed, to be in the light. But I have had so many conflicting things given to me from Tara. I have recently learned that an earthbound spirit is someone who has not gone on into the light yet and as such will still act a lot like they did when they were alive.

It is no secret that Tara could be manipulative. I have personally read her emails and it is easy to see this in her writings as well. I am now taking a complete new look at Tara and what happened to her, with all of this in mind. I feel naive to some extent with this case, because I have not encountered an earthbound spirit before.

My next goal is to get Tara to go to the light and then ask her many questions again. I hope to do this today. Of course she must choose this, but I have taken many spirits to the light and it is an easy thing to do. Earthbound spirits do not realize that they are not at the highest level, so with a little encouragement and explanation, they go quite easily.

Once a spirit has made that transition, then they can come back to loved ones on earth, in a much higher understanding. This is where I hope to re-connect with Tara and see what she tells me.

Chrmd, do you communicate with spirits? If so, can you talk with Tara and ask her for any important details that she would like us to know? For the most part, I am just concerned with Tara's location. Who took her life is not as important to me as where she is. But if she gives this information as well, then that is fine too.

I am so glad that you are willing to work together. Perhaps we can put our psychic minds together and fix some pieces!

While he doesn't yet qualify as a "serial killer," the Atlanta-born transient captured the attention of FBI profilers within a week of his arrest for the decapitation of Buford hiker Meredith Emerson. They traveled from headquarters in Quantico, Va. to observe Hilton during questioning and again when he pleaded guilty Jan. 31 to the murder of Emerson, whom he abducted from Blood Mountain in North Georgia on New Year's Day.

My wife and I eat at this Huddle House, almost every evening around the time that GMH, made the call to Tabor. We didn't eat there on 01/03/08, but the folowing day we talked to all the staff working there that day. They consistently stated that GMH, was very loud, abusive, used profane language, and almost hung up on Tabor, several times over the lengthy conversation. The manager stated that he was at the point of telling him to end his call due to this demeanor and the length of the call.
Meredith Emerson, was alive when the call was made. A simple 911 call would have ended GMH's trail of terror.
The response time to the HH was almost 'Four Hours'....

I am Cynthia Nassar’s son Derreck. I would first like to make a clarification to everyone – my mother was not Gary Hilton’s girlfriend. My mother met Gary back when I was a young child in the early 80’s. He was an acquaintance at best. The whole idea that they were in a relationship was due to an article in the AJC which quoted my brother Clint saying they dated. This is untrue and my mother would be outraged at my brother to have seen this. The truth is Gary Hilton was a transient and knew a lot of people. Because of his strange demeanor people would remember him. About 10 years after moving from the apartments where gary worked, my mom and I did see him once again. It was the early 90's and Gary was hitching along the road when my mom reconized him. We gave him a ride somewhere and never saw him again. Even then he creeped my mother out very bad. She told me she though he was sick with something.

As for my mother’s death she died from an advanced stage of breast cancer on 12/01/05. She was diagnosed less than a year before her death. My mother was a resident of Atlanta, but after getting sick she did live with my older brother in Tallahassee, FL so he could take care of her about 3 months before her death. In order to collect Medicare and disability due to her illness, she had to claim residency where she was living in Tallahassee. Sadly her first disability check was received about 2 days after she died. My mother did return to Atlanta for Thanksgiving of 2005 to visit with family and she was staying with my brother Clay and his wife Kayla. Soon after returning to Atlanta she passed away due to complications with her illness and was cremated in McDonough near my brother Clay’s house.

I hope this clears up any ideas that Gary Hilton murdered my mom. I know he is a strange guy and people like to believe strange things. I hope justice prevails for anyone who has been affected by this guy’s craziness.

While researching GMH, a few months ago, on Prophecy Forum: Tara Grinstead, I read some very interesting visions and dreams that were posted in 2007, which were before GMH was captured, and described the geography of his primary den, and surrounding area, as well as items that I discovered while backtracking him, among other parallels.

In one of the dreams a Church was visioned. Although the description was more vivid in the dream. Also a shallow grave... thick trees, white pines on the right side of the dirt road, and a large field on the left....

I met a man yesterday that has many of the same interests, historical knowlege, that has hunted and hiked the 'Wildcat Tract': Dawson Forest: WMA, for decades, as I. He is 68 years old, and is a Professional Landscaper.

He said that he was very familiar with the old house where GMH, wrote the movie, and suspected that someone was living there for years in the early to mid nineties. He also said that he sensed the evil in certain parts of the Forest, and wrote it off as Ancient Native American spirits..

He mentioned an unusual observation that he made in the Spring of 2006 or 2007: 'Turkey Season': He parked his truck near the Pleasant Union Church,located on Steve Tate Hwy, Dawson Co., GA 30534, and as he proceeded down the driveway, noticed that multiple graves(20-30) had been tampered with. His suspicion was that someone was robbing graves for military artifacts.

This church is only a couple hundred yards from the old house(writing studio), and is located at the entrance to GMH's primary den...

He contacted the deacon of the church, and a sign was erected, warning that gravedigging was a Crime(Goolism). No 'Criminal Investigation,' was ever conducted into the grave tampering to his knowlege....

The well cover at the abandoned house where GMH, held Meredith in Dawson Co, GA, had been removed by him, but the K9s(Cadaver) did not react to it.

Tara Grinstead Anniversary

As a tragic anniversary approaches the search continues for an Ocilla teacher and friend.

Tara Grinstead went missing three years ago this October 22nd. The GBI says they are still investigating leads in the case.

Grinstead was last seen around 11:00 PM when she left a friend's BBQ. Monday morning authorities were notified after she didn't show up to the high school she taught in. The only sign of struggle was a damaged bed frame and broken lamp at her home. Her car, cell phone and dog Dolly Madison were left at the home.

"At this time we believe that foul play is probably involved, however, we can't rule out any possibilities. We've interviewed hundreds of people to this point but haven't reached any circumstance where we are even considering effecting any kind of arrest," said GBI Special Agent in Charge Gary Rothwell.

The case has gained national attention, and the GBI says the mystery surrounding the beauty queen's disappearance is solvable.

"We did an exclusive story with 48 Hours Mysteries. That generated a lot of leads out of that story. We are constantly everyday getting phone calls, emails, and inquires about the case," said GBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Craig Rotter.

Rothwell says time has passed since Grinstead disappeared, but not their attention and dedication to the case.

"By no means is this a cold case. We have one agent that is more or less dedicated to it full time. Additionally all other agents in the office are in the pursuit of leads."

The bureau says someone out there knows something, and any tip could solve the case.

Reply #167 - 10/30/08 at 11:42:08 Hi everyone....hope no-one minds me jumping in here...I've been reading for a while and I, too, have followed Tara's plight from the beginning and I do believe that she is going to be found and I hope this is the year that we are able to do so...GOD willing....

I wonder of anyone knows whether LE were able to take any type of shoe impressions from Tara's broken bed frame? I do not believe that the alarm clock or the broken lamp were taken from her house as evidence, either...do we know why that wouldn't happen? I definately never heard of a tooth being found under Tara's bed, I do know that her beaded necklace she wore that evening was found broken with beads everywhere under her bed and that they were not discovered during the first search performed by LE.....however, I guess if they could miss large beads on the floor they could very well have missed a tooth so I would be very interested in that link. (TY in advance Wolfscratch)

I wish LE would release what evidence they do have....but it probably wouldn't look to good in court, if and when this case ever makes it there.

Sorry for the rambling. I just had a few questions and thought I might be able to get some answers here.....if only it were that easy, Tara would be home now with her family and friends that love her so.

I have to say to Wolfscratch.....are you a retired dectective? I would be so scared to follow in that monsters footsteps without professional training.....Kudos to you for being able to do what you do to bring justice to his many victims.

I began the journey backtracking GMH, on 01/06/08, which initially was in search of Meredith Emerson's remains. She was my neighbor for just four days. I know the Dawson Forest WMA well; hunted it and hiked it for 37 years. GMH, knew it better than me. I saw his van in the woods on 01/03/08, near the river, adjacent to a field next to my home.
Within a few days of tracking him, I profiled him as evil, demonic, cannibal, ritual serial killer that has been preying on his victims for decades. From the schemes,antics, and residue, and info gained in a nonconventional manner, I analogizaed him as a Mountain Lion, with the Wildcat Tract; Dawson Forest WMA, being his primary den.

Reply #30 - 08/05/08 at 02:47:00 Esah - I had 8 dreams about Tara and the man whom I believe murdered her. My dreams about this case began on 08/01/07 and ended on 01/08/08, just after having read about the presumed killer's arrest.

I contacted the GBI Perry office on 08/27/07 and gave them my interpretation of the first 3 dreams, but the only info they wanted from me was my DOB, SSN, and DL, presumably to access my personal records. However, I have reason to believe that my dream interpretations were given to AG and that she acted on it, but apparently the search was unproductive.

After that, I had another 5 dreams about this case. These later dreams didn't say where Tara was, but 4 of the dreams gave hints of the murderer's name, and predicted that he would be apprehended at the end of the year. I also had a vision of the man's face, and he looked like someone in his 50's, with a passing resemblance to the late actor John Spencer.

I believe that Tara's killer (who resided in Georgia) is now in custody, but he refuses to talk about his crimes because he knows it will earn him a death sentence. His name is Gary Michael Hilton, and he was arrested on 01/04/08 for the abduction/murder of Merideth Emerson. He is currently being held in FL as a suspect in the abduction/murder of Cheryl Dunlap; a woman who looked very much like Tara.

The GBI officer in charge of Tara's case, SAC Gary Rothwell, doubts that Hilton is responsible for the disappearance of Tara because Hilton used a different MO in the Emerson case, even though Ms. Dunlap's killer used an MO similar to that used in Tara's case.

SAC Rothwell doesn't seem to realize that the MO of serial killers evolves as they learn to avoid mistakes. Only the killer's signature remains the same, and Hilton's signature was to use remote areas in state parks as hostage sites and dumping grounds for his victims.

I strongly recommend that SAC Rothwell change his mind about Hilton and officially declare him a suspect in Tara's case, if only to obtain Hilton's DNA. Although Hilton is a convicted murderer and his DNA has recently been entered into the DNA databanks, Georgia law stipulates that it can only be obtained for comparison to other crime samples if the DNA donor is a suspect in that particular crime. As I'm sure you know, early last month SAC Rothwell revealed that DNA was obtained from the latex glove that police found in Tara's yard, so that DNA should be compared to Hilton's DNA ASAP.

If Hilton's DNA matches the DNA recovered from the latex glove, then the first place to look for Tara's remains would be General Coffee State Park, which is 30 miles E of Ocilla. Coffee Park in Coffee County is the state park closest to Tara's home, and park officers may keep records of visitors' license plates. If so, then the GBI should check park records for the license plates of any vehicles that Hilton was driving in late 2005. They should also compare the mud and tree bark recovered from the wheel well of Tara's car to samples from Coffee Park, since I believe Hilton forced her to drive her car there.

My dreams had recurring images of parks, coffee, and hilltops (I believe the latter represented the killer's last name; Hilton). Also, a cardboard box was prominent in my first dream about this case. If I recall, you said something on another site about a psychic who - when asked about Tara's case - said that he saw a cardboard box. I have no idea how a box might figure in this case, but several cardboard boxes were recovered from Hilton's van. Perhaps one of them contained some kind of evidence that would link him to Tara. But as SAC Rothwell said, the DNA from that latex glove is likely to provide the answer to Tara's tragic and frustrating disappearance.

As far as the cardboard reference, I will have to check my records on that. I can't place it at the moment, but for some reason, when I read what you said, it made sense. Perhaps that was one more article that could have been burned in that house fire! Just speculating there.

I have kept a file of many symbols that other people have gotten and if you would like to send me a pm with just those details, I will see if there are more matches.

You probably know that I was lead to Coffee county in my intutive messages. It wasn't a state park but I was definitely in that county. I still feel that there is dna of Tara's in the town of Ambrose. I have specifics but wont post them publicly.

Another connection to this case that came to me was Andersonville National Historic Cemetary. I had a tough time with this insight because I felt so much emotion there. I just found out recently that Tara had a video tape of this place on her coffee table. So perhaps I was getting something that was stuck in Tara's conciousness. I also ahd a very detailed dream one night and when I finally did see pictures of Andersonville, the grounds were exactly like I saw in my dream. The part that still eludes me though is the huge house/estate that was in this dream. It was very large and had a right and a left wing with pillars in the middle front section. Perhaps someone else could make sense of this. I have never been able to connect it.

I am so glad that you shared your dreams and if I could ask you a favor, I would like for you to go back into the dreams. This is a very simple technique that we can do. Just recall the dream and when you get to the end of it, ask Spirit to give you more details. Like you keep the camera rolling. It is that simple. You can then become the director and ask different characters in your dream questions or you can observe things in greater detail. Be unlimited and see what comes to you. Would you try this?

I just had a thought about the coffee, perhaps it was referring to something else on Tara's coffee table or the particular brand of coffee that she drank or a favorite restaurant that she frequented for coffee. Just thinking out loud here. .

I totally agree with you. I was following the case of Merdith Emerson very closely - she is from my area and has a connection to a family that attends the same church I do - When they arrested her killer and the first time I saw him on TV and said they were looking at him in relation to other crimes in the area I right away though of Tara, she just popped into my head. There was another case that also came to my mind right away - of a little boy that went missing in Cumming GA and who's remains were later found by hunters, Police later looked at Gary Hilton in relation to the little boy but at this time say there is not enough evidence to tie him to that case. I don't know if that means that there is absolutely nothing to tie Gary Hilton to that case or if there some evidence is but just not quite enough evidence at this time. (Sue)

I saw a similar image in one of my latter dreams about Tara. At first it appeared to be a dilapidated church that was being repaired on the far side of a vast, barren field. Then it became a gleaming white mansion that I took to be the White House (which has a right and a left wing with pillars in the middle front section).

I don't ascribe anything political to this dream symbol. Rather, I interpret the mansion I saw to mean our Lord's mansion with many rooms waiting for us in the afterlife. I also saw 'V.I.P.s' waving to me from windows of the White House, and I interpret that as souls of the departed with very important messages to convey to anyone they can make contact with on this side. Tara is one of these souls trying to make contact, and she seems to be a very strong one at that.

I'm concerned that Mr. Rothwell may be caught in a Catch-22 situation created by state legislators; namely that in Georgia, a convicted felon's DNA can be compared to DNA from another crime scene only if there is already sufficient evidence to link that felon to the other crime. If that is indeed the case, then you would think they'd make exceptions to this rule when trying to find all the victims of a resident serial killer that has probably been active in their state for decades.

I feel certain that when or if the GBI ever gets permission to compare Hilton's DNA to the latex glove DNA, the samples will be seen to match. But I don't think the GBI has done this yet, due to apparent legal obstacles. That, along with Mr. Rothwell's mistaken opinion that Tara's case bears no resemblance to Ms. Dunlap's case (despite the fact that both women were abducted from the vicinity of their home in rural towns that are near a state park).

BTW folks, Mystic has worked long and hard on Tara's behalf, as has Esah and others here. It was Mystic's thread in this forum that introduced me to Tara's tragic disappearance, exactly one year ago next Sunday. Mystic brought me up to speed on this case, and helped me in other ways as well, so I owe Mystic many thanks!

(Having said that, Mystic has a different take on this case than I do, and I'm certainly in no position to speak on Mystic's or anyone else's behalf about conclusions they arrived at through their own hard effort. The conclusions I've reached are mine alone.)

The reason for GMH's plea agreement in GA.
Meredith Emerson's DNA Law was passed in the GA Legislature in 04/2008, to rectify this problem.
Although locating Meredith's remains, as the media reports, were important, the GBI and State of GA's primary reason for the plea was a conviction ASAP to be able to release his DNA to oither States and Agencies. This info came from a GBI Agent working the Meredith Hope Emerson Investigation.

GMH' safe haven was in the forest, only because this is where he was most comfortable or at home. This is not why I analogized him as a mountain lion. It is due to his hunting traits, patterns, behaviors, signs, and the residue he left behind.
While turkey hunting, one dark dreary and rainey day in Wolfscratch Wilderness/dawson forest wma, a few years back, a mountain lion sought me out as prey.
At first sight, I thought it was a deer, except for the orange tint and the fluid movement.
Only having a single shot long barrel 12 gauge shotgun, I came out of my camo, stood up, and hollered to let him know that I was his only predator...
He hastily retreated..and I cleaned out my drawers..
